POWER ROOM MAKEOVER
For those of you that have been following my DIYs and my journey to decorate my home… thank you. I’ve decided to finally share some room reveals with you and I’m pretty excited about it. You’ll see the good, the bad and the fugly. Not everything is finished, not everything is exactly how I want it to be BUT that’s how I keep myself busy. I love visualizing my next projects and moving furniture around.
To start, we needed shutters. Privacy is KEY in a bathroom haha. We painted the room a very light grey and that set the tone for the rest of the room. Time for accessories! I started with this cute floor mat from Homesense and, I’m not going to lie, at first I was worried about the white fabric clashing with the cream floors but it worked out great!
I added some nicknacks that I had collected over the years. Looking back… everything’s from Homesense.
- The White Vase
- The Light Up Sticks
- The Decorative Lantern (Used for extra toilet paper rolls)
- Toilet Paper Holder
It’s always nice to add a personal touch to any room with framed pictures. I took some of our engagement photos- cropped them, adjusted the colours and printed them to display on the wall. The picture frames are from Target.
Can’t forget my favourite part: The Wallpaper. This was the first DIY Project that I attempted on our house. I purchased one roll of wallpaper from Bouclair for $30. I didn’t really know what I was doing (and I did it by myself) so I wasted a lot of paper. I had to buy a second roll but overall, I am THRILLED with the result. Well worth $60!
I would have love to have changed the light fixtures above the mirror but now that we’re moving it’s not worth it.
Until our next DIY,
